The thing that pisses me off about all the negative nancy idiots in the comments bleating like rabid sheep about 'pre-rotation' and shit is that you idiots have NO knowledge of figure skating history. There have ALWAYS been skaters both male and female throughout figure skating's history whose jumping technique was, from a textbook perspective, suboptimal (Nicole Bobek anyone??) but it was never made into as big an issue as a huge chunk of toxic figure skating fans suddenly decided it had to be until the Sambo 70 Tutberidze girls started doing quads. Period. Even the last few olympic cycles, aside from flutz calls (ie. Mao Asada, Medvedeva, Sacha Cohen, Michella Kwan etc) no one talked about pre rotation or unclear edges on any other jumps even though it was blatantly taking place. Scherbakova is ridiculously over-criticized. I also think even though Trusova's quads are textbook, even SHE gets hit with unfair criticism on her quad flip, which is fucking textbook (flat edge my ass, her quad flip is a thing of beauty and anyone who says otherwise can fuck right off). The only ones these days that really bother me are Kamila Valieva and Shoma Uno's flip jumps, which are pre rotated to such an extreme >3/4 degree that they are clearly cheated jumps and should be hit with a stern downgrade.

I love Kamila but I'm still personally "offended" by the fact that Sasha wasn't credited to have landed the first quad at the Olympics because they didn't let her skate in the team free. Much like Anna was deprived to skate in the team short.

I don’t know about aura, but Sasha is the coolest star on the ice. Has her own style, do things her own way, and doesn’t always try to be a crowd pleaser. Unique and beautiful.

Midori's absolute confidence in the jumps are what make it so beautiful. And the landings is always perfect, no stumbles, no wobbles. Can't say the same for anyone else I've seen, and definitely not as consistently
